The Hot Tub Removal Process

1) On-Site Quote

We assess size, access, deck/yard conditions, and utilities. Pricing is based on volume and complexity—approved by you before work starts.

2) Drain & Disconnect*

Please drain the tub and close water lines. Electrical shutoff at the breaker is required; see safety note below for disconnect options.

3) Dismantle, Haul, Tidy

We section the spa as needed, remove skirts/panels, load debris, and sweep/leaf-blow the work area. Components are routed for proper recycling/disposal.

Safety Notes & Exclusions

Electrical: 240V/GFCI circuits must be de-energized at the breaker. For hardwired units, a licensed electrician must disconnect/cap conductors. We can coordinate.
Plumbing: Close/valve lines and drain the tub. For hard-plumbed lines, a licensed plumber should disconnect/cap. We can coordinate.
We do not remove asbestos-containing materials or handle biohazards.
Limited access/weight constraints may require sectioning the unit or staged loads.

*TrashWorx can coordinate licensed trades to perform required electrical/plumbing disconnects prior to removal.

Hot Tub Removal FAQs

Yes—please drain the spa fully and disconnect any garden hoses. If the spigot is clogged, a shop vac can help clear remaining water.

For plug-in units, switch off/unplug. For hardwired tubs, a licensed electrician must disconnect/cap at the spa and breaker. We can schedule one for you.
